I support abolishing marriage licensing. Persons should not need to get permission from the government to associate with whomever they will. Churches and other private organizations should be free to marry or refuse to marry whomever they desire. Government could offer marriage registration for those who wish it, but this should never interfere with private businesses being able to compete as a depository for this sensitive information.
