On Tuesday, April 24, 2012, I wrote in my name for the Lehigh County Republican Committee, to represent the City of Allentown’s 12th Ward, 3rd District, and elected myself to the committee with my one vote. I left the committee in 2013. While a member, I experienced disillusionment with the Lehigh County Republican Committee, due to its lack of fidelity to its own bylaws. This was demonstrated when at the organizational meeting, one of the committee members brought in a copy of an envelope that he claimed was delivered to an absent committee member less than the required ten days prior to an election of officers. This charge was downplayed and said to potentially be photo-editing on the part of those complaining, and the election was held that evening with the establishment candidate winning the chairmanship. Shortly afterward, the Committee began using metered postage which is not postmarked with a date.
